Award decisions and announcements are made
We are looking for projects that align with our mission to support the health and well-being of our community.
Currently we are funding projects that address one or both of the following priorities:
Please note we take particular interest in programs that would meet both priorities.
We are proud to serve any nonprofit entity, including 501(c)(3)s, churches, schools, and other agents in our community.
Your organization must serve residents in at least one of our four counties: Bryan, Fannin, Grayson, or Marshall.
The application window closes August 28, 2026.
The average award in the 2025–2026 grant cycle was $30,455.
The purpose of the Fannin County Hospital Authority Fund is to support the health and well-being of the residents of Fannin County with a priority given to programs and projects that focus on mental health and wellness, as well as access to care. Additionally, organizations that are physically providing services within Fannin County will have priority. Giving from the Fannin County Hospital Authority Fund is overseen by the Fannin County Hospital Authority with the Texoma Community Foundation (TCF) serving as the Fund's fiduciary agent.
This is an intentional change made by our Grants and Giving Committee. After years of grantee feedback, county-wide listening tours, and careful planning, we have shifted to an exclusively mission-aligned model, one that evaluates proposals based on project strength, community need, and equitable impact across our four-county service area rather than line-item financials.
We want you to focus your energy on telling us about your work and the people you serve, not on building a budget spreadsheet.
No. The budget section has been removed intentionally, and its absence will not negatively impact your application. Our committee is fully committed to this process, and award decisions are based entirely on mission alignment, project merit, and regional impact.
Think of this as your opportunity to tell us about the work you are most proud of, something you want to sustain, expand, or launch. Be specific about what the project is, who it serves, and what impact you expect it to have in our region. You do not need to include financial details at this stage.
The strongest proposals clearly connect the project to a community need and explain why now is the right time to invest in it.
Not at all. First-time applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply. The process is the same for returning grantees and newcomers alike. If you have questions about whether your organization or project is a good fit, reach out to Angela before the window closes at Angela@YourTCF.org.
Award decisions are typically communicated in January, and you can expect to hear from us regardless of the outcome.
Each organization may submit only one application per funding cycle as the lead applicant. That said, a single application can include more than one project as long as each is clearly described. Your organization may also serve as a partner on another organization's proposal.
Absolutely, and we hope you will. A previous application that was not funded does not work against you, and we want every eligible organization to feel welcome to try again.
We want you to feel confident going into the application process. Please reach out to Angela Sharp, our Grants Officer, directly at Angela@YourTCF.org or 903.337.0755 and she will get back to you as quickly as possible.
