Action Items

These are items that anyone can work on to impact Hope & Purpose

We first identified mental wellbeing frameworks from around the world to see what was working. Those with proven measures and metrics were selected and compared in order to find shared themes. This led to a set of evidence-based actions that we can collectively take to create a culture of mental wellbeing and uplift communities.

Culture of Awareness

Shifting perspectives, creating understanding. Through education and dialogue, we reduce stigma and promote a culture where seeking help for mental health challenges is embraced and encouraged.

Social Connections

Strengthening bonds that build resilience. Strong social ties improve mental well-being. Our initiatives foster connections within families, neighborhoods, and communities to combat isolation.

Supportive Community Institutions

Building a foundation of trust and care. We invest in schools, workplaces, and community organizations to serve as hubs for mental health awareness and support.

Care Coordination

Connecting care for comprehensive support. We focus on streamlining mental health services, ensuring that primary, behavioral, and specialized care providers collaborate to meet the needs of residents.

Care Workforce

Empowering those who care for others. Our strategy includes training and retaining mental health professionals, expanding certifications, and integrating behavioral health into broader medical care settings.

Care Access

Breaking barriers to mental health support. We want to ensure every Texoman has access to timely, affordable, and high-quality mental health care, addressing systemic challenges and geographic disparities.

Physical Environment

Creating spaces that nurture connection and health. By improving public spaces, parks, and infrastructure, we foster environments that support physical and mental health while encouraging community interaction.

Pathway of Purpose

Empowering lives through opportunity. Finding purpose and hope is crucial to mental health. We promote education, workforce readiness, and opportunities for individuals to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Essential Needs

Meeting basic needs for mental stability. Access to essentials like transportation, broadband, food, and childcare provides the foundation for mental well-being. We advocate and invest in solutions to address these gaps.
