Our History

Since 2007, Texoma Community Foundation has served the people of Grayson, Fannin, Marshall, and Bryan Counties. We work to accomplish our vision for Texoma by supporting area nonprofits, building collaboratives, and creating spaces for people to thrive. In 2012, we named mental wellbeing our top priority, as we identified a direct connection between wellbeing and a thriving community.
Over the years, amazing contributors have joined our efforts, including Reba McEntire, who has been a philanthropic partner in the community for over 30 years. In 2007, TCF began operating Reba’s Ranch House, a free hospitality house for area patient families and in 2011, Reba created her only named charity at TCF.

In 2021, Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott also became a major partner by providing a $6 million donation to enhance TCF’s work in implementing a regional mental wellbeing strategy in Texoma.
